About the Role
The Medical Affairs Senior Data Analyst is a foundational position that will be critical in establishing the framework for medical affairs at Iterative Scopes (IS). This individual will be part of the clinical and scientific team and will be involved in key aspects of developing medical affairs which include, but not limited to:
data generation and evaluation,
establishing policies and methodologies
guiding external data vendor partnerships
strategic evidence generation and evaluation
analytical planning and decision making
working alongside key opinion leaders and clinicians.
This position will report to the Medical Affairs, Chief of Staff and will work in conjunction with the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs identifying evidence generation opportunities. The Senior Data Analyst will help identify and develop analytical capabilities, and if necessary, team within medical affairs. This position will require operational capabilities in data evaluation and statistical analysis methodology, as well as, in individual who is a self-motivator with innovative thinking.
Generation and Interpretation of data
Guiding the implementation of data methodologies
Strategic and innovative planning of secondary and retrospective analysis
Influence future data generation plans and studies
Working with key vendors and external partners in the testing and evaluation of data generated at IS
Integration of all medical analytics to ensure consistent approach
Contributing to the translation of data into clinically meaningful messaging
Internal SME for statistical analysis methodologies and processes
Member of the protocol review committee
Responsibility for data handling, privacy and security
Coordination with other functions within IS to establish integrated plans and coordination of analytical efforts
Generation of data tables and internal data analysis for strategic decision making
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Background in statistical analysis and data generation
Research oriented with deep understanding of data analytics and methodologies
Strategic and innovative thinker
Ability to understand to corporate strategic goals and contribute to achieving such goals through data analytics
Ability to communicate ideas and influence without authority
Team mentality and ability to work in matrixed environment
Willing to roll up sleeves and dive in where needed
Aptitude for understanding the healthcare environment (experience in healthcare research preferred)
Desire to grow professionally and personally with potential to eventually manage direct reports
Bachelor’s degree in statistical analysis, computer science, data management, or relevant field
1 to 3 years of experience
Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
Verbal and Written communication skills
Ability to work in Microsoft office and utilization of other statistical software
Previous experience in scientific writing (tables, data charts, ect) for scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters - preferred
Strong organizational skills and a self-motivator
Previous experience in developing analytical teams preferred
Great attention to detail
