About the Role
As our VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for business development, partnering activities as well as oversee revenue growth strategies. Supporting operations as required, and conducting product/market evaluations, continually reassessing the company’s initial assumptions as part of it’s go to market. You will be a business-minded strategic leader who brings strong discipline to the company’s priorities while being analytical and intellectually curious around the company’s technologies. You will help to lead our external business development and partnering activities alongside with the CEO and communicate business objectives across company functions internally, collaborating with key functions to achieve Iterative Scopes objectives.
Lead business development activities consistent with Iterative Scope’s overall strategy set by Senior Leadership Team, which you will be a part of
Continually engage existing industry partners to ensure success of current projects, as well as develop pathways to new areas of growth
Be responsible for an end-to-end pipeline of business deal development, including initiation - proposal writing and gathering, pitching – deck and narrative development, negotiation – with prospective procurement teams and closing – aligning business goals with the legal team and signing off on business deals.
Ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US laws and regulations, reaching out to company’s legal team for guidance where necessary.
Lead conversations with company’s world leading Scientific Advisory Board to develop market insights and garner support on sales calls.
Align with Medical Affairs on publication strategy.
Building out the business development team, including market research, marketing and sales teams as needed from time to time.

Bachelors degree is required, advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience in business development, including having a track record of successful transactions with pharma/biotech/life science companies. Experience with working in successful Bio+IT companies strongly preferred.
Extensive experience in managing partnerships/service providers through execution.
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and focused on building relationships with team members.
Strong analytical and modeling skills.
Strong ability to communicate with external parties and influence decision making processes through relationship building.
Critical thinking skills are critical.
Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
